Apple Crumb Pie

I made this apple pie for President's Day. I was going to make a cherry pie, but J3 loves apple, so I went with that. The recipe I use is from my mom's old Better Homes & Gardens New Cook Book---the one with the red checkered tablecloth on the cover. It's called Apple Crumb Pie.
I have tried many different apple pie recipes over the years and this is the one my family likes best. The "crumb" topping goes well with vanilla ice cream.
